Classification
Cast tungsten carbide is divided into: cast tungsten carbide powder products (YZf), high carbon cast tungsten carbide powder products (YZGf), and cast tungsten carbide tube products (YZg).

Usage
It is used as a reinforcing material for surfacing oil drilling tools, building materials machinery, grain machinery and other wearable parts.

Claim
Organizational structure
1. The microstructure of the cast tungsten carbide should be uniform, compact and uniform in gloss, and there should be no under-burning or over-burning. YZG high carbon cast tungsten carbide section shall not have serious over-burning.
2. Metallographic structure of high carbon cast tungsten carbide powder product (YZGf): The eutectic needle structure of (MWC+NW2C) is not less than 75%.

Exterior
1.YZ, YZG cast tungsten carbide alloy powder has a silver-gray appearance and a polygonal shape. The length and width of the particles are less than 2:1, and the surface of the particles is free of fine powder.
2. The surface of the steel tube of the cast tungsten carbide tube product (YZg) should be cleaned, and there should be no visible yellow rust spots, drum waist and scratches with a depth greater than 0.3mm and defects such as burrs and bends that affect the application.
3. The length of the cast tungsten carbide tube product (YZg) is (390 ± 5) mm. The pipe joints shall be overlapped, no docking is allowed, and no powder leakage may occur.

The particle size inspection shall be in accordance with: the weight percentage of the powder larger than the upper limit of the particle size shall not exceed 5%;

The percentage by weight of the powder smaller than the lower limit of the particle size shall not exceed 7%;

The above inspection requirements do not suit the YZ200~400f variety.

Preparation before welding

Remove rust, oil and other debris from the surface of the workpiece, remove defects such as cracks and holes, and place the workpiece as far as possible in the flat weld position.

 Operational precautions

(1). Selection of welding flame According to the design principle of tubular wear-resistant welding rod and the characteristics of oxygen-acetylene, flame brazing should be carried out by using 1~2 times of carbonized flame (ratio of inner flame to flame length).

(2). Flame Power The amount of flame power depends primarily on the size of the workpiece and the thermophysical properties of the material being welded, as well as the diameter of the electrode. Most of the surfacing welding adopts H01-6 or H01-12 type welding torch. The working pressure of oxygen is generally 0.3~0.5Mpa, and the working pressure of acetylene is generally 0.02~0.05Mpa. (The larger the diameter of the electrode, the greater the torch, oxygen pressure, and acetylene pressure used.)

(3). Preheating and welding of workpieces Because the basic material of the weldment often differs greatly from the nature of hard-phase cast tungsten carbide, in order to prevent and reduce the occurrence of cracks, for thicker workpieces, pre-heating of 450~650 °C should be carried out. Heat; in the initial welding and welding process, the base metal of the weld should be in a fluorescent state until the surfacing is completed.

(4). The workpiece should be slowly cooled after welding to avoid and reduce cracking.

Hardness of surfacing layer:

    The upper and lower surfaces of the surfacing samples were ground on a flat mill, and the average of 5 points (HRC value) was measured on a Rockwell hardness tester. Generally: 60-70
